Advice and design
When selling bamboo, we always give advice to the individual, the Public Gardens Department or the company planning a bamboo garden. It turns out there are still many misconceptions and ignorance about bamboo, even with well-known gardeners and garden designers. Frequently ill-suited or not hardy species are advised and not everyone is familiar with the properties of running bamboo.Therefore a good planting advice is a major step towards a successful project and we are glad to be of assistance to you.

Efteling, Kaatsheuvel

Crematorium Geleen
Realisation 1997. Sections with flowering Fargesia murieliae had to be replanted. Kimmei recommended 8 newer bamboo species. By now this planting is full-grown and well-maintained due to a trimming course the staff took at our nursery.

Deloitte & Touche
Realisation: autumn 2003 at the Flightforum business centre near Welschap airport, Eindhoven. On the courtyard of Deloitte & Touche's new accountancy office, two big containers designed in Corten steel were placed, in the form of a ship divided in two. Each Each part is 5 meters long and 1,80 meter at maximum width. Planted with Semiarundinaria viridis.

Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven.
Realisation: spring 2003 at the opening of the new van Abbe museum.
In a big hardwood box about 4 by 6 meters at an inner courtyard of the new van Abbe museum this Phyllostachys vivax “Aureocaulis” was planted. (Idea: landscape architect Saakje van de Laar; advice and supply: Kimmei; realisation: Tim Kloet)

Castle garden, Arcen
Planting advice: 2000. The old bamboo garden needed a boost. Our nursery advised on many new bamboo species.
By now, these plants are fully grown.

Flightforum, Eindhoven
Realisation: spring 2004. Kimmei nursery was involved at this project near Welschap airport in Eindhoven with the initiation and advice concerning the planting of bamboo.

Botanical gardens, Utrecht.
Realisation: spring 2003. A large part of the gardens has been redesigned as a bamboo garden. Here too Kimmei advised on many new bamboo species and gave planting advice.
